Involved

A typical networking engagement starts with a site survey. Understanding your current infrastructure, the number of users, the physical layout, and what the network needs to do for your business.
From there we design, specify, and quote a solution before anything is ordered.

Installation is carried out by RefynIT engineers. We handle the physical installation, cloud configuration, VLAN design, wireless coverage planning, and handover documentation.
Once live, the network is visible in our management portal and monitored as part of your service contract.

  • Currently yes — our networking service is available to businesses on either Refyn Lite or Refyn Complete contracts. The management platform, monitoring, and support infrastructure sits within our broader service model rather than as a standalone offering.

    But watch this space!

  • At the end of the 36-month term you have two options.

    Refresh — move to the latest hardware models, pre-configured and ready to deploy. New term, new kit, minimal disruption. The right choice if your business has grown or you want to take advantage of newer capabilities.

    Continue — keep your existing hardware. The monthly fee reduces now that the kit is paid off, and shifts to covering vendor hardware support, next-day replacement on faulty devices, portal access, and ongoing management.
    The right choice if your network is performing well and a refresh isn't a priority.

    We'll talk through both options well in advance of your renewal date. No automatic rollover, no pressure - the decision is yours.

  • Buy Outright and Pay Monthly cover the hardware needs of most SME sites we work with.
    For larger environments with high device counts, multiple sites, or heavy simultaneous remote access we'll scope and quote enterprise-grade hardware specifically suited to the demand. The same discovery, installation, and monitoring process applies regardless of scale.

  • No.
    Each model is a complete solution and the two infrastructure options aren't designed to be mixed. While the same firewall sits at the perimeter in both cases, the switches and access points within each solution are built around their own management platform and portal. Mixing hardware from both would compromise the unified monitoring and management that makes cloud-managed networking valuable in the first place.

    The choice is made at the outset - own it outright or pay monthly - and the infrastructure is built consistently around that decision.
    If your requirements change significantly at renewal, a refresh to the alternative model is always an option at that point.

  • Installation is quoted per project based on site size, number of devices, cabling requirements, and complexity. We provide a fixed-price installation quote before any work is agreed

  • No - installation is quoted separately regardless of which hardware model you choose. The monthly subscription covers the hardware itself.
    Installation, configuration, and handover are a one-off project cost quoted at the outset.

    For the monthly model — HPE Instant On firewall with Datto networking infrastructure (switches, access points, and PDUs). Datto's cloud-managed hardware is purpose-built for managed service providers and delivers the same enterprise-grade monitoring and management capability on a subscription basis.

    Both solutions are managed through their respective cloud portals, integrated into your RefynIT service, and supported by the same team.
